My good friend Jeff Buzz, just recently won our Itunes Giveaway and i remeber that as soon as entries were closed for that contest, more people wanted to take part.
Well i say, lets give the people what they want.
So here is our new contest.
To make it a bit more open it’s all about the points.
On May 16th we are officially launching this blog and so on that day the person with the most points wins…….(Drumroll please)
First Place Gets
- 2000 EC CREDITS
- $100.00 BY PAYPAL
Second Place gets
- 1000 EC CREDITS
- $50.OO BY PAYPAL
Third Place gets
- 500 EC CREDITS
Now, how do you earn points might you ask?
Well it’s simple.
- 200 points for posting a commuter experience here on Commuter Chronicles
- 100 points for posting a commuter experience or review of commuter chronicles oh your blog with a link back to here
- 100 points for a second post on this site about a commuter experience (two post maximum will be counted)
- 100 points if your post on here crosses 20 comments
- 50 points for a second post on your blog
- 40 points for a blogroll link (drop me a comment on this post to let me know you added me to your roll)
- 30 points for each time you make 10 comments on this site (and 1 point for each comment - in other words you get 1 point each time you comment and an extra 30 point at each 10 comment interval)
- 20 points for subscribing to the rss feed
- 2 points each time you drop a card on the blog.
So there it is.
I have tried to do it in a way that even those who don’t post on my blog have a fighting chance.
Again on May 16th i will annouce the winner. All past winner can still take part.

sorry to be a bit ignorant but is this contest limited only US citizens. And to write about the commuter experience, can I write about commuters in different places for example the tube in London or the Metro in Moscow?

Hey Peanut, welcome, and the contest (as a matter of fact the entire site) is international. As long as you have any commuting experience, be it the drive on the way to work, the tube, riding your bike through Amsterdam, or climbing Mt Everest.
Just as long as it’s about moving from one point to another.

I have done my first post here (200 points) and it already has reached 20 comments (100 points).
I have also added Commuter Chronicles in my blogroll (40 points) and subcribed (20 points).
…I have 7 comments including this one. (1 point each). Hopefully, I can have 10 comments to earn additional points.

I am confused. I want to ask something regarding the options to gain points for this contest.
It is said that I can post a commuter experience OR review of Commuter Chronicles on my blog and a second post on my blog. Hmm…I can just make two posts or, one post per blog? What if I make a post on a commuter experience and another on a review? Does this earn me more points?
I am also confused which post will reach 20 comments will earn additional points.
And oh, can you check how many times have I dropped a card on your blog? I just want to clear thing up so that I can gain more points because I really want to win this contest.

ok pweng bee, let me see how well i can cover all your questions.
on your blog you can make as many posts or reviews as you choose but i only count two of each (one experience and one review for the 100 points each and one experience and one review at 50 points for the second post) the other posts as long as they have links back to my site, should give you trackbacks/pingbacks that will show up on my site and count as a comment for you. Also it might just halp with getting more of your visitors on your site to come comment here on your posts.
you make the extra points for each group of 10 comments. So if you reach 10 comments you get the points, when you get to 20 comments you get more and it goes on.
and i have will check on your drops for you.

Well it’s a toss up between Pweng Bee and Peanut as the two top people so far.
I have a few people who emailed me and ask for me to extend the contest for another 2 weeks to give them more time to try to catch up.
But that’s a question that Peanut and Pweng Bee will have to answer.

Ok, so here is what i am going to do.
i am extending the contest until June 11th, which is my birthday BTW, and everyone will get more time to enter.
As an incentive to Pweng Bee and Peanut, they will now get an extra way to earn points.
I will give 50 points for each person that you refer to make a “post” on this site.
So what that means is simply that if you tell someone about the contest/site and they come and post an experience on here, then you get 50 points because they posted. You just need to let them know that at the end of their post they have to say that they were referred to here by you.
